Fleur de Lis by WearableByDesign Fleur de Lis by WearableByDesign
Little, hand carved flowers graduate towards the floral toggle clasp. Each flower has a tiny, gypsy set cubic zirconia to add a little sparkle, and is supported by a swagged double chain.

The necklace measures approximately 18" (46 cm) and has a rich blue patina.

It would take me months to forge and carve one of those flowers, if you don't mind me asking how long did it take?

It took a few days. Attaching all those little chain segments is what was difficult!

I work in Silver Metal Clay and so it lends itself to carving quite easily.

I see. So you aren't trying to carve solid metals. but wow.

Yeah, that would be really difficult!

I have been working on a butterfly made from a quarter, and that is so time consuming, Tap tap tap. But I love your work.

This is lovely. Is it odd that I feel like the clasp is the focus? I think I'd want to wear it backwards to show that off all the time! Really like the organic feel to this. :)
